Aviation.

As a friend jets off today for 2 weeks at their villa in Cyprus and my father is trying to get my friends band over to South Korea to tour I have been looking through my pictures of big metal birds.

Granted nobody is flying by military aircraft but they are nicer to look at than commercial airliners. BOOM!

My (current) Style icon

Currently loving both Stefano Pilati's work at YSL and also his own interpretation of how to wear menswear. Casual but also very on trend and still with a hint of the Italian "Sprezzatura". Really enjoy seeing people playing around with proportion in subtle ways as well as dramatic proportion play akin to Thom Browne and Galliano. Seems like Stefano enjoys offsetting either his lower portion against his top portion and vice versa. Genius...

The night shall pan out

Like this...
Suntory time...

Couldnt decide if it was going to be a Suit and tie night or a casual night..... turning out to be the latter. Boo!

Perfumed Eating

During my daily scoot around my Fashion, Fragrance and arts blogs stumbled across a great post over at Perfume Shrine...

Tried using essential oils in cooking myself and never turned out too great...

The cocktails on the other hand sound amazing.

Colour Inspiration Pt. 2

And these images are from an Editorial I found a few months ago named "Against Nature". Absolutely captivated by the sombre, dull background and the juxtaposition of natural surroundings against the Fluro. tone clothing, dramatic makeup and rather sober poses. Very clever and interesting shoot.

The hand in the image below struck me and had me lost for a while staring at it...

Colour Inspiration Pt. 1

A few snaps from an Editorial I enjoyed romanticizing over. These are shot by Dusan Reljin. I love the placement of the makeup to highlight and intensify these images ie colour over nipple's and use as blood.
Blood Diamonds....

Real Horror Show

Masks. Was utterly disturbed as I sat reading my copy of the new Arena Homme + whilst drinking my coffee this afternoon when a child/brat (age approx. 5/6, sex M.) Appeared by my side wearing a bloody Clown mask. If there are two things that freak me out its small people wearing masks and Clowns, the combo of both almost resulted in a scolded child and a pretend accident scene complete with my charismatic acting skills.

Bona Drag

I have had a melody in my head all day and couldnt for the life of me place exactly what it was. Originally thought it was an old Skidz song but as it turned out it was a little Mozza number. "Piccadilly Palare" from Bona Drag.

Also notice Morrissey is about to start his UK tour and has another "Greatest Hits" album out........ why bovah mozzah. Song Smithery recycled.

After a few cocktails.

After a few cocktails the hilarity starts to flow. Had a few cocktails with my lovely friends this evening and the humor was in abundance. A few images I find rather amusing...

Running along the Blade.

Sci-Fi Noir. In my opinion one of the greatest films ever created is Blade Runner. Still one of the most beautifully shot films in cinema history. Here is a few images of stunning, haunting Rachel and Pris.

Rachels stillness always moves me. She is dramatically glamorous but very distant.

Pris, Pris on the other hand is very extrovert, sassy and a little dumb, both actresses have created very memorable characters and its these two women who steal the show for me. Their characterization is just awesome.

Film Noir Sundays.

My sundays have turned into a day to celebrate and enjoy some old film noir and some new age noir inspired films too. Its all in the lighting and shadow placement. Love it, love it, love it.
