Fancy this

This past month has been one of the busiest in my entire life. Hence no posting on justanothermanabouttown. BUT, last month had one of the biggest pulls view wise since I started this blog early last year. I plan to be posting regularly from now on but if you log in for the images I use then it may be easier for you to follow me on Fancy too.

A beautiful platform dedicated to uploading and "fancying" other users images you like.

The users or community leaves much to be desired, passions and emotions run high and sometimes the level drops to that of a playground but as a means of obtaining beautiful images pulled from all over the globe and internet then Fancy is extremely useful.

Candy eyes.

Ever wondered what sexual desire smells like?

Well one whiff of the new gourmand offering from Prada will get you close to it. With a narcotic swirling of 12% Benzoin its a wonder it passed regulation. (Benzoin is one of the strongest skin sensitizers). The normal percentage ranges from 0.1% to 3%. Rumor has it Givaudan were actually in doubt of its production levels, nice! The oils sit on skin like a glimmering sticky residue awaiting a lick. Indulgence baby, utter gluttony. The official note roll-call states the eau de parfum contains caramel, benzoin and musk.

I imagine Candy is a fox fur stole caked in melted caramel, the amber hued solidifying liquid oozing down the cleavage of an over tanned 30 something model laying poolside, the flash cans erupting as her latest shoot takes shape or alternatively... sex in Ladurée!!

On a purely aesthetic level I would probably have purchased the 50ml's for the bottle itself. (I do hope it wins an award for the design.)

Heels off to you Puig and  Daniela AndrierCheck out this post from that scented sly fox....

For those of you with a sweet nose I suggest sniffing out the following.(all names clickable)
Guerlain Iris Ganache
Hermés Hermessence Vanilla Galante
Keiko Mecheri Loukhoum
Penhaligon's Amaranthine
Dior Hypnotic Poison & Dior Homme Intense.
L'Artisan Parfumeur Mure et Musc
Etat libre d'Orange Rossy de Palma
Il Profumo Chocolat
Frederic Malle Une Fleur de Cassis
Sud Pacifique range.... cheap, cheerful and moreish.
Parfumerie Generale Praline de Santal
and the original... Thierry Muglers Angel.
anything containing high doses of C16 Aldehyde (Strawberry!), Maltol (Candy floss/Sugar), Almond Milk, Heliotrope, Vanilla, Tonka or Benzoin will also do the trick.

There are many variations on the gourmand theme, some stand out and the others are exercises in aroma chemistry at a tooth aching level.

Wrap me up in Papier d'Arménie and toss me to the bees.

Marc Jacobs + Steven Meisel x Louis Vuitton / vintage luxury travel = Epic-lee stylish.

LV AW 2011/12 behind the scenes just released by Vuitton HQ, uncompromised style and beauty.
Marc Jacobs vision has been transparently romanticized by that lens wielding behemoth Steven Meisel.

Long time collaborater with the worlds leading luxury brand Meisel has shot many campaigns and in each manages to translate the seasons feel and also the brands rich heritage. This seasons no different.

Meisel is famous for providing US and Italian vogue with thee most beautifully realized images.

He has also gathered attention for his collaborations with mega celebrity and close friend Madonna giving her that polished youthful veneer.

His partnership with Lanvin these part few campaigns have also rocked my boat....

Meisel makes my monogramed heart melt with his unrivaled papping skills.

Aldo Sisley

Previously I have mentioned that I go through states of being absolutely obsessed with certain campaigns. Right now, right now Im pretty taken with Lily Donaldson...

especially her shots for the Aldo campaigns.

My other guilty pleasure at the moment is the Sisley campaigns, always an underlying raunchiness.

Another "preoccupation" of mine, Ana Beatriz Barros. Phoarrr.

EleGAnT SmuTteRrY!

Makes sense, a lot of the work was shot by that photographic pervert Terry Richardson.

Wreck the joint.

Diamonds against the world

Speaking on the phone earlier with a friend and our conversation turned to jewelry and more specifically Daphne Guinness's Shaun Leane diamond and chainmail glove. Only after our conversation had ended did it dawn on me I had no real knowledge of the glove apart from its existence, owner and maker, to google I go!!!

The glove was unveiled and included in an art piece at the White Cube starring none other than Guinness herself. The piece was titled Contra Mundum, "Against the world". Clad in her Alexander McQueen crystal body suit she was laid on a stone bed for over two hours. Friends and guest admired her and the piece of bespoke jewelry up close, Mr Ford even giving her a kiss and a smile.

This beauty is made from 18ct white gold and platinum, 5000 pavé diamonds, weighs over 1000 grams and was completely handmade over a 5 year period at a cost of around £1.1 million. Wow, nice.

Ive said it before and I will say it again, Daphne could possibly be my ideal woman, visually speaking as I have never met her but she is fucking awesome. I would very much like her and that glove, nout else.

While on the subject of jewelry why dont I  list a few designers I like while Im here, why not eh. Why not.
